Assassin’s Creed Shadows has been delayed in an announcement today from Ubisoft. Originally planned for release this year November 12, 2024, the title will now release next year, February 14 2025.
In an announcement pictured below, Ubisoft “need more time to polish and refine the experience”. This delay comes a few weeks after the release of Star Wars: Outlaws, a title that saw a middling reception and as quoted by Ubisoft in a financial update today, “the learnings from the Star Wars Outlaws release led us to provide additional time to further polish the title“. Sales for Star Wars Outlaws also “proved softer than expected”.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows will now also release on Steam day one along with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The season pass model will also now be scrapped, “players will be able to enjoy the game at the same time on February 14 and those who preorder the game will be granted the first expansion for free”.
