Black Myth: Wukong DLC release date rumours are already doing the rounds!
Black Myth: Wukong, developed by Game Science, released in August to massive success, reaching the second-highest concurrent player count on Steam, with over 2.4 million players! It has also been confirmed in recent interviews that Black Myth: Wukong has sold over 18 million copies. Due to this massive success, it comes as no surprise that DLC talks are already happening.
Gaming analyst Daniel Camilo recently announced on Twitter/X that sources close to Game Science are suggesting DLC could be released around Chinese New Year, January 29th, the DLC may release around this timeframe, anywhere from late January to early February. Content details surrounding the DLC are not confirmed but may continue the titles retelling of the famous Chinese novel, Journey to the West, with some characters and events yet to make an appearance in the base game.
Wu Dan, CEO of Hero Games and the largest external shareholder of Game Science, has said previously that there are plans for DLC, but no official timeline has been stated. Given the game’s massive success, players can hopefully expect DLC to arrive sooner rather than later.
Black Myth: Wukong is currently available on Playstation 5 and Steam.
