Capcom Spotlight + Monster Hunter Showcase: Everything Announced!

Capcom premiered a new Capcom Spotlight and Monster Hunter Wilds Showcase, giving us new info on upcoming Capcom releases, as well as news on the second upcoming Monster Hunter Wilds Beta and more.

The Capcom Spotlight gave us news on Onimusha: Way of the Sword, Street Fighter 6, Capcom Fighting Game Collection 2 and MARVEL vs. CAPCOM Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics, which we break down below:

· Street Fighter 6 – new character Mai from the SNK series Fatal Fury makes her debut, as well as a Mai dedicated season pass. A new character, Elena, was briefly shown and Capcom wrapped up this part with E-Sports tournament Capcom Cup 11 details.

· MARVEL vs. CAPCOM Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics gameplay was shown, with an Xbox One shadowdrop announced.

· Capcom Fighting Collection 2 confirmed its game list, including Power Stone and its sequel, Project Justice and Plasma Sword. Capcom also confirmed roll back net code for all titles will be included at launch. It launches May 16, 2025.

· The Okami sequel, which was announced at The Game Awards 2024, debuted a new trailer and not much else.

· Kunitsu-Gami: The Path of the Gods, the action-strategy game released in 2024, has a new demo released.

· Onimusha: Way of the Sword, (previously shown at The Game Awards) the latest samurai epic, showed off a brief cinematic trailer and confirmed its release window of 2026. The games director, Satoru Nihei, expanded on some details of the dark fantasy title, including compelling characters, a setting of Kyoto, and the gameplay will focus on “ultimate sword-to-sword action”. It will release on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Steam.

· Capcom wrapped up the Capcom Spotlight by announcing a remaster of Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny remaster, releasing on PS4, Xbox One and Switch in 2025!

Not too much in the way of new announcements, however the shadow drop of an older Capcom classic is always fun!
