Eternal Strands is a fantasy action RPG and the debut title from Yellow Brick Games. You’ll run into a lot of great enemies (such as The Ark Of The Living Flame); one of these is the Ark Of the Stricken Earth. Let’s look at how to extract its strand and where this locus point is. For a video tutorial of this, be sure to check the video below!
Ark Of The Stricken Earth Locus Point
The Ark Of The Stricken Earth is the first great enemy you’ll come across in Eternal Strands (the first actual full-length encounter barring the tutorial!). The essence location is in the center of the chest underneath its plates of armour.
This Great Ark is straightforward to climb and has a lot of armour on its body. You can remove these pieces of armour by hitting the circle-like wooden straps, causing the armour pieces to fall away. Climb to the top of the ark and begin to hit the straps around its shoulder area.

Keep an eye out for the prompt when it’s about to shake, and if you begin to run out of stamina, be sure to stop climbing and stand on the nape of its neck to regain stamina. Since we are always going to be around the shoulder area, we should be able to get to the back of the neck pretty quickly if we need to. Be sure to hit the climb button again when you start moving, or you’ll just run straight off.
Hit the straps around the shoulder area, which will then give way to a chest piece and its straps. Once these straps are removed, the chest piece will fall off and reveal the essence in the middle of its chest. A symbol will also pop up underneath its health bar, letting you know its essence is ready to be extracted.
Climb to the front and hit the extract prompt. Congratulations on getting your first strand! The ark of the stricken earth contains an ensnaring blast strand, allowing you to level this up back at camp.

This great enemy is the most straightforward and a good introduction to the many other great enemies in the game. The only main thing to look out for is the ark will try and grab you if you are on a certain body part for too long; either jump off quickly or jump to another body part to avoid being grabbed and taking a moderate amount of damage.
