Rockstar Games has announced the release date for Grand Theft Auto VI along with a new trailer. Grand Theft Auto VI is now set to release on May 26th, 2026. Originally set for later this year, the title has now slipped into 2026. To make up for this delay, Rockstar has also released Trailer 2 for Grand Theft Auto VI. Check out the trailer below!
The trailer is a mix of gameplay and cutscenes captured on a PlayStation 5, according to Rockstar, and features a number of characters set to appear in the game, some stunning graphics, and more story glimpses that involve our duo protagonists. “Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them. But when an easy score goes wrong, they find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America”.
Along with the delay into 2026, Rockstar stated, “With every game we have released, the goal has always been to try and exceed your expectations, and Grand Theft Auto VI is no exception. We hope you understand that we need this extra time to deliver at the level of quality you expect and deserve.”.
Grand Theft Auto VI is set to release May 26th, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S|X, with a PC release coming sometime in the future. It is also not confirmed if Grand Theft Auto VI will launch with an online mode, but seeing as GTA V currently has a massive online mode in itself that launched later on, an online mode for GTA VI will likely follow the same pattern.
