What Is MindsEye?
MindsEye is a narrative driven, single-player action-adventure thriller set in the near-future fictional desert city of Redrock. MindsEye is looking to bring “best-in-class cinematics, high octane driving, and explosive combat”. A bold claim in itself, but seeing as the studio is being led by Leslie Benzies, who has extensive experience working in the Grand Theft Auto series, this may be the right person to challenge the historic franchise.
The city of Redrock is considered “The Safest City in the World”, with robots carrying out tasks and keeping an eye on the city, in what some would call a living experiment about to implode. You take on the role of Jacob Diaz, a former spec ops solider who has scattered memories from his MindsEye neural implant, who is set on finding out the truth in a world that is starting to become more machine than man.
Trailers we have seen so far of MindsEye show glimpses of many characters you’ll encounter in the city of Redrock, along with third person combat and driving that definitely showcase a touch of Grand Theft Auto’s DNA.
