Soggy Beans, developed by New Zealand-based RatMode Games has just released their demo! Previously featured on the ANZ Indie Showcase, Soggy Beans is a calming side idler game that sees you look after fish, taking photos, collecting beans and decorating for your wee fishy friends. You can check out the trailer for Soggy Beans below!
Soggy Beans has a relaxing visual style with fish of all shapes and sizes. Soggy Beans is designed to be played “as much or as little as you like”. Leaving your fishy friends to roam while you work, posting updates on your website (we certainly didn’t do this), or even playing other games.
Fellow fish enthusiasts can record discoveries in their journal, snap various photos of their new pals, and “create your own little corner of the ocean” with cute wee decorative pieces.

As RatMode themselves would put it, think bird-watching but with fish. Currently, Soggy Beans is slated for a 2025 release and is coming to Steam. At this stage, other platforms are coming post launch but we’ll keep a close eye on this as we near release. Be sure to give Soggy Beans a wishlist!
