It’s definitely awards season! The Indie Game Awards 2024 have announced their nominees!

It’s a busy time for the video game industry, with award shows popping up left right and centre announcing their nominees!

The Indie Game Awards, brought to you by collective Six One Indie, have recently announced their nominees for 2024. Notably, including some New Zealand-made games and industry experts. We’ll point them out below!

The Indie Game Awards have specified that there are different nominees for each category except in Game of the Year, Community Management, and Industry Impact. “To ensure a diverse selection of indie games across all categories.”

Streaming Friday, December 20th, on Youtube and IGN, with a starting time of 10am AEST / 1pm NZ. Below you can check out all the great Indie nominees!

Indie Game Of The Year 2024

The Indie Game Awards will have a number of presenters, including NZ-based Black Salt Games (Dredge). We also have NZ-based nominees, including Cryptmaster for Best Innovation and Aggro Crab (Another Crab’s Treasure) for Best Community Management. Although Aggro Crab themselves are not NZ-based, the mastermind behind Aggro Crab’s community management is NZ-based, Paige Wilson!

Cryptmaster, developed by Paul Hart & Lee Williams from New Zealand, published by Akupara Games. Nominated for Best Innovation.

Six One Indie, responsible for bringing together The Indie Game Awards, is a collective that is “focused on offering a fresh approach to amplifying indie games, featuring showcase spotlights and in-depth commentary on the indie gaming and development scene.
