We’re back with another sales update for NZ video games to start the week off! These results are for the week September 16 – September 22nd. A reminder that we’ll be covering sales data weekly as these numbers are released. Usually there is a week or so delay as numbers are gathered and confirmed!
1. EA Sports FC 25
2. The Crew 2
3. Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II
4. NBA 2K25
5. Grand Theft Auto V
6. Hogwarts Legacy
7. God of War: Ragnarok
8. Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege
9. Final Fantasy XVI
10. Astro Bot
This week we see EA Sports FC 25 debut at number one, releasing this week to very strong sales and another staple in the New Zealand gaming market. The Crew 2 still feels its massive sales surge from last week due to a massive sale of 98%.
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II is still seeing strong sales a few weeks after release, dropping down a spot. NBA 2K25 also follows in the same fashion, dropping a spot but still maintaining good sales.
As new releases go down in sales, Grand Theft Auto V rises in the top sales list, while Hogwarts Legacy drops down a spot. I guarantee these two titles will be hanging around until the end of the year.
God of War: Ragnarok re-enters the list thanks to its debut on Steam, another title from PlayStation now making its way to PC. Rainbow Six Siege maintains its number eight position.
Final Fantasy XVI also releases on Steam, no longer a PS5 exclusive, and see’s sales place it at number nine this week.
Finally, we have Astro Bot, which has had a strong showing but has now begun to dip after a couple of weeks in the top five.
