Top Selling Games NZ (Sep 9th – 15th 2024)

Welcome to another sales update for NZ Games! These results are for the week September 09 – September 15 2024!

Just another reminder that we’ll be covering sales data weekly as these numbers are released. Usually there is a week or so delay as numbers are gathered and confirmed! Currently, our focus is on New Zealand sales, but please comment below if there are any additional countries you’d like us to track!

1. Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II

2. The Crew 2

3. NBA 2K25

4. Hogwarts Legacy

5. Astro Bot

6. Grand Theft Auto V

7. Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown

8. Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege

9. Red Dead Redemption 2

10. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III

This week we see a few new titles moving around while long time favorites come back into the mix. Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II has taken the top spot, previously at second the week before, thanks to a strong reception, dedicated fanbase and a promising roadmap of future updates.

For those wondering how The Crew 2 got here, when it released all the way back in 2018? A massive 98% sale will do just that and has brought the game down to $1.68 NZD, driving massive sales numbers. NBA 2K25 has slipped from first to third place but remains a staple in the NZ market, suggesting it will continue to perform well as the NBA season progresses.

Hogwarts Legacy continues to pull massive numbers. This number one selling game last year will be among the top sellers of 2024. The question is, which place will it be?

Astro Bot is still riding a wave of popularity, largely thanks to its status as one of the highest-rated games on Metacritic this year. GTA V continues to call the charts home—no explanation is needed for one of the biggest video games in history.

Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown, released mid-week, has made an impressive debut in the lower half of the list.

Finally, we have three consistent performers: Rainbow Six Siege has re-entered the rankings, Red Dead Redemption 2 maintains its position, and Modern Warfare III shoots back into the list.
